Richard Simmons left people wondering where he is now after a successful career as a fitness guru.
Years ago, Simmons dominated the fitness industry and the internet with his admirable approach to fitness promotion. However, he appears to have stepped away from the spotlight, as he has not been seen in recent years.
In the midst of speculation about his whereabouts, TMZ founder Harvey Levin told The Sun that the guru is still alive and well. Simmons, on the other hand, reportedly does not leave his house.
Levin said:
“We found out he likes going to the beach, he’ll go shopping. There has not been a single paparazzi that has gotten anything of Richard Simmons out in public in more than eight years.”
After decades of dominating the world, Simmons vanished in 2014. According to reports, the fitness icon suffered a knee injury that prevented him from showing fitness tips again.
He also had surgery and needed more time to recover.
Simmons’ management team issued a statement thanking everyone for their love and support.
He told his fans at the time to “keep sweating” on his behalf because he couldn’t do what he loved anymore.
Richard Simmons is said to be alive and well, but he raised concerns in 2016.
When Simmons announced the closure of his studio, he shocked the fitness community.
Rumors circulated that the fitness guru was suffering from health problems. Simmons, on the other hand, responded in 2017 by saying he was fine.
“You will never know how much it means to me. Aren’t you sick of hearing and reading about me?! LOL Well by now you know that I’m not ‘missing,’ just a little under the weather. I’m sure I will be feeling good and back home in a couple of days.”
In addition, in 2020, he re-released his old exercise routines on his YouTube channel, encouraging his subscribers to exercise during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Fans will be able to see him again because FOX is planning to release a documentary about where Richard Simmons is now.
