Following the successful premiere of the fourth season of “Stranger Things,” Noah Schnapp revealed that he has taken a different path outside of acting and is currently working as a summer intern.
According to Flaunt, the 17-year-old star works as a lifeguard, but it won’t be permanent because he only applied for the job to do something while waiting for his freshman year of college to begin.
He said he got the job “just for a fun thing,” but he kept it grounded because he wanted to live a normal life despite being one of the hit Netflix show’s biggest actors.
Speaking about his future plans, the “Bridge of Spies” actor revealed that he had just graduated from high school and hoped to finish his studies over the next few years.
Schnapp has been accepted to The University of Pennsylvania, his “dream school,” to study business.
Despite the fact that he will be preoccupied with academics, the actor stated that he will continue to work in film and television.
He wanted to take a break from acting because it had become “repetitive” for him and he wanted to try something new.
In an interview with Variety last month, he stated that acting would continue to be his priority in the future because it had become such an important part of his life and that he would continue to play any character that was assigned to him.
Outside of acting and finishing his studies, Schnapp wanted to try new things in the film industry, as he hopes to direct, produce, and write in the future.
The actor appears to be on the right track in pursuing a business degree, as he became an entrepreneur at a young age.
Last year, the actor, who plays Will Byers in the hit Netflix show, released To Be Honest, a vegan hazelnut spread.
Schnapp mentioned that his co-star, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, wanted to follow in the footsteps of the star.
He said:
“Millie Bobby Brown is doing the same thing with her schooling, she’s kind of learning about other things. I thought it would make more sense to do something different. And business was a pretty clear next thing for me.”
