Doja Cat may have taken a break from her music career following her surgery, but she keeps her fans entertained by constantly live streaming on various social media platforms. She recently revealed a significant achievement she made while recovering.

Taking to Instagram live, the “Get Into It (Yuh)” hitmaker revealed that she had given up a long-held vice.

Doja stated that it has been 70 days since her last vaping session.

Despite her efforts to become completely healthy, she finds it difficult to maintain a nicotine-free lifestyle.

She stated this while interacting with fans:

“I would love to have a smoke. In the name of love… I would love to have a f****** smoke. M***********. I’m going to peel my f******* skin off.”

The recent announcement comes a few months after she revealed online that she would give up her vice because she is afraid of getting tonsillitis and it isn’t worth it.

In May, the “Kiss Me More” singer shared a series of tweets recalling her tonsil surgery due to an abscess.

The rapper stated that the surgeon had to cut into her left tonsil and that her entire throat feels different as a result.

Her tonsils became infected just before the Billboard Music Awards this year. She was taking antibiotics at the time, and she forgot she was on them, so she drank wine and vaped the entire day.

She experienced the growth in her tonsil following the awards show, prompting her to have surgery.

Doja Cat was scheduled to perform with The Weeknd on his “After Hours til Dawn” Tour, but she had to cancel at the last minute due to health issues.

The rapper made the heartbreaking announcement to fans on her Instagram stories, saying she had to cancel her summer festival run, including a co-headlining tour with The Weeknd.

The “Say So” singer assured fans that she couldn’t wait to recover from her health issues so she could make music again.

Doja Cat has not announced a tour or a new music project as of this writing, but Post Malone has released a collaboration track with the rapper titled “I Like You (A Happier Song).”
