Is John Cena deceased?
After tweets about the WWE star’s death surfaced, Cena became the latest victim of hoax death rumors. It wasn’t the first time the wrestler sparked such rumors, as internet users discussed it in the 2010s.
However, the “John Cena dead” topic went viral this time due to false reports in 2016 that he died in a car accident.
Furthermore, The Sun reported an increase in the number of false Facebook posts in Myanmar, Cambodia, and Bangladesh. They even had photos allegedly taken at his funeral.
The claims were quickly dismissed by AFP fact check, which stated that the photos had been manipulated and falsified.
He has not yet responded to the reports, but the wrestler-turned-actor is currently working on two films, “Coyote v Acme” and “Argylle.”
Cena also takes his time appearing on WWE RAW and WWF Smackdown.
The recent death hoax came on the heels of recent death rumors claiming the deaths of several well-known celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey, Michael J. Fox, Jaden Smith, Snoop Dogg, and Santan Dave.
During the death hoax, Cena sparked backlash for allegedly abandoning Mr. Money in the Bank, Theory, despite the wrestler’s attempt to take a selfie with him.
Cena faced backlash in June after taking a selfie during WWE Raw’s 20th anniversary celebration. Theory, on the other hand, claimed that fans simply misinterpreted the situation.
He said, per Wrestling Inc:
“I know when I took my selfie with John Cena, a lot of people say he walked away, but you can’t see him. So, I mean, I don’t know. Sometimes I get some guys that I’ll be messing around, go to take the selfie and they’ll just flip me off.”
Meanwhile, Kevin Nash recently appeared on the latest episode of the “Kliq This” podcast for an interview. He revealed that he gave Cena helpful advice on how to wear shirts.
Fans have noticed that the WWE star always wears larger shirts, and Nash is the reason for this.
The WWE Hall of Famer stated that wearing a baggy t-shirt would encourage the audience to cheer them on more because their good physique would surprise them.
As a result, Cena has always worn the oversized t-shirt throughout his career.
