Tyrese Gibson shock: Samantha Lee’s ex warned to be held in contempt for rude behavior towards judge

Tyrese Gibson is now legally single, and the judge advised him to consider the money an investment in the future of his child.

The judge urged Tyrese to consider the $10,000 per month in child support he will be required to pay as a significant investment in his child’s future. However, Tyrese’s reaction prompted the judge to threaten him with contempt.

During portions of Tyrese’s testimony, the judge became extremely agitated, particularly when Samantha’s attorney questioned him about his finances and Tyrese attempted to retaliate. Samantha’s lawyer pointed out that Tyrese earned more than $2 million in 2018, despite claiming to be bankrupt. Tyrese said:

“I don’t do the CFO thing. Here’s a question to you, smart person …”

The judge interrupted him and said:

“You don’t ask questions! This is not how it works!”

He threatened to hold Tyrese in contempt if he continued to be amusing.

Tyrese’s court battle with his former wife, Samantha Lee Gibson, ended on August 30 evening in Georgia, with the judge ordering the actor to pay $10,690 per month in child support. Soraya is the name of their daughter.

Perhaps sensing Tyrese’s displeasure with the verdict, the judge addressed him personally, stating that the verdict is not punishment for the artist. It’s for his son.

The judge also ordered Samantha and Tyrese not to disparage each other in front of their daughter, Soraya, and stated that Tyrese should be happy if his ex-wife moved into a nicer home because it will raise his daughter’s standard of living.

Tyrese’s problem is that the judge ruled that the $10k/month obligation extends back to September 2020, when Samantha filed for divorce, meaning he owes his ex-wife a $209k lump sum. Tyrese had been making Samantha’s auto payments for two years, so the judge deducted $46k from the total, bringing it to $169k.

Tyrese is relieved that the judge ruled that neither party will pay spousal support.

As previously stated, Tyrese desired this, as well as keeping their Range Rover and giving Samantha their Land Rover. He had it as well. As if on cue, the court granted Samantha’s divorce petition as the very last thing he did; thus, both of them are single, even if they are not yet ready to mix.
