Crystal Renay Smith may soon be Miss Independent after filing for divorce from her current husband, Neyo, effectively ending any chance of them reconciling.
The couple’s split was announced months after they renewed their vows following a failed divorce attempt in 2016.
According to Smith’s accounts, Neyo has dealt with women who “sold their bodies to him unprotected.”
TMZ approached Crystal Renay Smith as she exited the Los Angeles International Airport recently, asking if there was any chance of working out with the R&B star again.
While cornered, Smith quickly answered:
“There are no chances. God is Good. We’re moving on to better lives.”
Smith’s naked ring finger can be seen in the recent interview, which could be an indication that she is now certain about her decision.
When asked if Neyo had reached the point of no return, Smith responded in an indirect but telling way.
She said:
“Some things cannot be forgiven, but God will forgive and so do I.”
She added that the Christian in her will need to forgive Neyo one day.
Crystal also clarified that she “might” enter the dating pool after being asked.
Crystal Renay Smith, Neyo’s wife, filed for divorce in an Atlanta courtroom earlier this month.
Smith and Neyo’s marriage is now “irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation,” according to HiphopDX.
The split was allegedly caused by allegations that Neyo fathered a child with another woman, prostitution, and the singer engaging in unprotected sex with other women.
Smith said in a now-deleted Instagram post:
“8 years of lies and deception, 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected… every last one of them! To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist.”
Neyo has remained silent on the matter, posting vague videos and asking the public to “respect” them while they work out the issues behind closed doors.
