People come and go, and Leonardo DiCaprio is currently dealing with this.
What could have been DiCaprio and Camila Morrone’s happily-ever-after ended when the couple called it quits after more than four years together.
Sources first confirmed the split to PEOPLE, stating that they had already ended their relationship.
But, not long after the breakup, the “Titanic” star was linked to another model, claiming that he already had his “sights set” on her. The “mystery woman” was later identified as Gigi Hadid by US Weekly.
According to the report, the 47-year-old has expressed interest in her. However, Hadid appears to be uninterested.
The insider stated:
“Leo does have his sights set on Gigi, but she hasn’t shown an interest. They’re friends, but she doesn’t want to be romantic with [him] right now.”
DiCaprio and Hadid have been friends for a long time. She also knows his ex-girlfriend, Blake Lively.
Hadid previously dated Zayn Malik, with whom she has a 2-year-old daughter, Khai. They will also split up in October 2021.
Amid the speculation surrounding DiCaprio and Hadid, another source “confirmed” to In Touch Weekly that the couple had already hooked up several times during the summer.
The insider did not reveal any additional information about the outings above, but she did reveal that Hadid is exactly the actor’s type, as she is gorgeous, sexy, and has a one-of-the-guys attitude.
Morrone, on the other hand, is said to be doing well despite the rumors that have surfaced.
According to a source close to the model, she is currently focusing on and relying on her large group of friends as she moves forward. She has already severed contact with DiCaprio.
DiCaprio and Morrone were photographed together for the first time in 2018 in Aspen. They kept their relationship private, but the model eventually expressed her displeasure with their media attention, especially given their large age difference.
DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend Kristen Zang wrote an essay (via E! News) criticizing the “ageist” headlines about the two. From 1995 to 1999, she was in a relationship with the actor.
She urged the public to send a friendlier message to young people by acting and speaking more positively about such relationships.
