Kim Petras kept her promise to fans after leaking her album a few months ago, as she recently announced a new single coming soon, which is now available for pre-order.

Taking to her social media accounts, the German pop star revealed the official title and cover art for her upcoming single, “If Jesus Was a Rockstar.”

The video shows the “Can’t Do Better” singer wearing a star-printed bikini and leaning out of a yellow pickup truck while holding a large cross necklace.

The official release date has yet to be announced as of this writing, but the song is currently available for pre-order on major music streaming platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify.

Before the announcement, she released the official studio version of her cover of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God).” The singer performed it during her set at the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival.

The news comes just a few weeks after she released her highly anticipated collaboration with Sam Smith, “Unholy.”

According to Billboard, the song reached number three on the Hot 100 Chart on October 8. It was the pop singer’s first-ever chart entry. As of today, the song is still dominating charts and social media platforms such as Spotify.

Petras expressed her gratitude to fans in a video she shared on social media, thanking Sam Smith and her fans, dubbed “Bunheads.”

She said:

“Everyone who’s believed in me this entire time, like, thank you so much. I am so grateful. i’ve dreamt of this since I was a little tiny kid and it feels great, and I’m really proud of it.”

Kim Petras revealed in an interview at this year’s Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco that she is fine with fans listening to her “leaked and scrapped” record.

The LGBTQIA+ icon stated that the songs would never be released, so she asked fans to provide feedback on the leaked album.

Petras has confirmed that new music will be released soon to make amends with her fans. She also expressed regret for leaking her song.
