The marriage of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen has recently come under scrutiny.
Amid divorce rumors, a relationship expert believes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback made his supermodel wife feel “neglected and unwanted.”
Jo Hemmings believes their crisis-affected marriage could end in days and that what is happening in their relationship is a wake-up call for the couple.
She believes this is because the couple has resorted to blocking each other out due to Tom’s erratic behavior in his profession, which has made his wife feel unwanted.
Tom and Gisele may be doomed if they do not address their problems as soon as possible, according to a relationship expert who spoke to The Sun.
This is because partnerships fail when both parties withdraw within themselves, internalizing their issues, feeling obstinate, angry, and wounded, and growing further apart by the day.
Jo continued by saying that sometimes relationships fail simply because it is too late to save them.
Jo said of the high-profile celebs:
“Tom and Gisele – especially with a young family – would be well-advised to seek professional treatment to optimize their chances of salvaging their marriage if at all feasible.”
Jo believes that good communication, in which feelings can be expressed honestly and candidly, is the only way to save their marriage.
She says of Tom:
“If one or both spouses have spent most of their adult lives putting their professions first, it might come as a bit of a wake-up call when they realize that they need, or even want, to find the time to incorporate family life in that established pattern.”
When Tom retires from football, he may feel uneasy without the validation and fulfillment of a job, as he may lose his sense of purpose and fear that others will take the positions he appears to be destined for.
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen’s 13-year marriage hit a stumbling block when the celebrity athlete decided to return to sports.
It was reported last month that he and Gisele had a major falling out over his refusal to retire, despite having announced his retirement in February.
Despite his marital issues, the athlete dismissed all speculation about his NFL future.
In a news conference on Thursday, Tom reiterated his commitment to playing the entire season for the Buccaneers.
“No retirement in my future, that’s really why I’m here.”
