Kanye West hasn’t stopped making headlines for everything he says and does, but the rest of the world, including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, wishes he would.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star appears to be eager to finalize her divorce from the “Donda” rapper, with whom she has previously stated she does not want to be associated.
In February 2021, the 42-year-old reality star filed for divorce from Kanye after seven years of marriage. But, after more than a year of marriage, she is ready to call it quits.
Despite his claims that he wanted to speed up the divorce, the Grammy-winning rapper’s unusual behavior has caused several delays.
Kanye officially changed his name to Ye a few months ago, and his declaration of disclosure took him several weeks to complete. He has also lost six lawyers because many find him difficult to work with.
His Los Angeles lawyer, Nick Salick, is said to be working on the divorce, but his New York lawyer, Robert Stephan Cohen, is no longer representing him.
Although no new filings have been made, Salick is eager to reach a custody and property settlement agreement, according to TMZ.
When repeatedly asked if Kanye was still a customer, his staff refused to confirm or deny anything.
Kanye’s financial information, including assets, debts, income, and spending was filed in mid-October by his lawyer.
Kanye West’s attorneys may wish to resubmit the application because Adidas, Gap, Balenciaga, and a slew of other companies lost contact with him this week.
The father-of-four is also no longer on Forbes’ list of billionaires, with the “Golddigger” rapper joking:
“I lost 2 billion dollars in one day.”
Kanye West’s recent anti-Semitic remarks sparked national outrage, and his ex-wife expressed her support for the Jewish community as well. However, she did not address Kanye by name.
Another insider told The Sun that the SKIMS mogul’s statement was clear because she didn’t want to go public against the rapper until their divorce was finalized – because she’s eager to officially divorce him.
The source said:
“She is so intent on getting the divorce and finally getting him out of her life. But she knows that if she says something now, he’ll start, and she’ll be stuck with this for another year.”
According to the insider, Kim couldn’t risk any last-minute surprises for him.
They added:
“I believe the divorce will proceed even if she has nothing to do with it, but she is scared that if she presses his buttons now, he will find a way to fight it or whatever.”
