Nick Jonas did this to Olivia Culpo? Singer’s ex speaks up

Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo dated from 2013 to 2015, and although their relationship was brief, the former Miss Universe opened up about how the singer treated her after they split up.

Following their split, the actress simply informed her fans that she was fine:

“Your heart just breaks, that’s all. Heartbreak is hard but you find more and more things to be grateful for every day.”

Culpo, on the other hand, was in the midst of a crisis of sorts behind the scenes. In the first episode of her reality show, “The Culpo Sisters,” she revealed that the breakup was more complicated than she had previously revealed.

She wearily asked the producers off-camera before she dove right into it:

“Do I have to talk about that? I did date Nick and that was a very formative experience for me.”

Culpo explained how she moved to Los Angeles with the singer, which was a bad decision.

She rhetorically asked:

“I had no brand, no money and I was in love. That was great, right? But when he broke up with me, I was kind of left with no sense of identity.”

Culpo won Miss Universe in 2012 and began dating her now ex-boyfriend Jonas the following year. Despite her enormous success, she still struggled to find herself and her identity, particularly after her difficult breakup with the “Jealous” singer.

“My whole identity was in him, which is a very common story of a young person in love.”

Culpo also revealed that she thought she was going to marry Jonas after their breakup, but what should have been a daydream turned out to be a rude awakening.

She shared:

“[…] I just remember night after night looking up at my ceiling in my apartment that I couldn’t afford thinking to myself ‘how am I going to pay my rent?’ I couldn’t even afford my groceries. It was a serious, pivotal moment for me, but it was something that taught me that you can’t give up.”

Culpo demonstrated that she did not give up by persevering after the breakup. According to Page Six, she is dating Christian McCaffrey, the running back for the San Francisco 49ers.

Jonas has also progressed, as he is now happily married to Miss World 2000 winner Priyanka Chopra, with whom he has a child.
