Louis Tomlinson still can’t believe he has a number-one album in the United Kingdom.

After a close battle, the 30-year-old singer’s second solo album, “Faith In The Future”, dethroned Bruce Springsteen’s “The River,” and Louis admitted that it was not something he had expected.

He told OfficialCharts.com that his record is currently number one on the Official Charts, and he still can’t believe he gets to say that. He said he wanted to thank the fans for their incredible support over the last week and throughout his career.

According to the former One Direction member, who is overjoyed, it is a tremendous honor he did not necessarily expect.

Others have been waiting a long time for this. After all, all three other One Direction members have previously accomplished the same feat.

Louis’s sophomore solo album, “Faith In The Future,” was due in 2020.

He is the fourth member of One Direction to have a solo album debut at the top of the UK album charts.

“Mind Of Mine” by Zayn Malik debuted at number one in 2016, “Harry Styles” by Harry Styles debuted at number one in 2017 and “Harry’s House” by Niall Horan debuted at number one in 2020.

Louis Tomlinson opens up about his life since the breakup of One Direction. The singer-songwriter described his struggle to make a name for himself in an interview with The Telegraph, while his former bandmate Harry Styles appeared to be enjoying solo success.

Tomlinson went on to say that he’d be lying if he said it didn’t bother him at first but that it’s not surprising that Harry is the most commercially successful because he fits the profile of a modern star. In 2010, each One Direction member auditioned individually for the British singing competition “X Factor,” but Simon Cowell and the other judges chose them as a group.

Despite finishing third on the show, the band continued to have enormous success and performed together until their dissolution in 2016. Less than a year later, Tomlinson released “Just Hold On,” his first collaboration with Steve Aoki. He peaked at No. 2 in the United Kingdom and No. 52 in the United States.

Styles released his debut single, “Sign of the Times,” in April 2017, which peaked at No. 4 in the United States and went multi-platinum. While he is awestruck by Styles’ accomplishments as both a singer and an actor, Tomlinson made it clear that he harbors no ill will toward his former bandmate, stating that they are nothing but friends and that he is proud of Styles.
