Kate Winslet has put an end to rumors of a sequel to “The Holiday.”

During an interview this week at the U.K. premiere of her upcoming film, “Avatar: The Way of Water,” Winslet, 47, addressed rumors that “The Holiday 2” will begin production next year. Her update, however, may disappoint fans who were hoping for a sequel to the 2006 Christmas classic.

“As far as I know, it’s not true,” the “Titanic” star told Entertainment Tonight, adding that “no one’s ever consulted” her about a sequel reuniting her with co-stars Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, and Jack Black from “The Holiday.”

She continued:

“I know, sadly it’s not true. It would be so fun to see Miles and Iris get back together. I kind of imagine, like, how cute would their children be? …Tiny Jack Blacks running around everywhere.”

Winslet portrayed Iris, a Daily Telegraph columnist who swaps houses with Amanda (Diaz) and spends Christmas in Los Angeles in the film. There, she meets Miles (Black), a film composer, while Amanda falls in love with Iris’ dashing brother Graham (Law). The film concludes with Miles asking Iris out on a date for New Year’s Eve before kissing her.

The film was a huge success and has since become a staple of the holiday film canon. However, Winslet has stated that a sequel is not in the works.

While acknowledging the film’s cult following, Winslet told ET:

“Sometimes you just have to kind of quit while you’re ahead, walk away, let it have its place in the sun. It’s so thrilling.”

Fans can still expect to see Winslet in another sequel, “The Way of Water,” the long-awaited sequel to the “Avatar” franchise. She portrays one of the Metkayina, Ronal, a mysterious character.

She told ET about her experience at the premiere with her family:

“They loved ‘Avatar’ and they were very excited for me to be a part of this.”

ET previously spoke with producer Jon Landau about “Avatar 2.” He recalled one of his favorite scenes from the film, which starred Kate Winslet.

Landau said:

“One of my favorite memories was we had this circular tank, maybe 40 feet wide, with a big glass portal in it. I walked by one day and I see Kate Winslet walking on the bottom of the tank. She’s walking towards me and sees me in the window, and she just waves, gets to the end of the wall, turns around, and walks all the way back.”

“Avatar: The Way of Water” hits theaters on December 16.
