Lil Nas X will be ringing in the New Year with a brand new hairstyle, as he shared photos of his new locks, but many fans reacted in a humorous manner, claiming that they remind him of a certain star athlete; who could this be?

The “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” hitmaker took to Twitter to share a video and a photo of himself showing off his new hairstyle.

Many fans recall the musician always wearing his short afro puff over the past year, but he’s changed things up by sporting dreadlocks.

The singer wrote in the caption:

“since everyboyd sleep what y’all think??”

Following this, many people immediately compared his hair to that of NBA All-Star point guard Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies.

One wrote:

“All I’m saying is we’ve never seen Lil Nas X and Ja Morant in the same room.”

Another one wrote:

“Ja Morant and Lil Nas X could be long lost twins!”

Another one pointed out:

“That tweet that says Ja Morant look like Lil Nas X got me rollin cuz I cannot unsee that s*** now lmfao.”

Even rapper Thierra Whack couldn’t deny the uncanny resemblance when she quote-retweeted the post.

At the time of writing, neither Ja Morant nor Lil Nas X had responded to the recent posts about them.

This was not the rapper’s first time sharing a photo of his new hairstyle; he debuted it at his Sidney Myer Music Bowl concert in Melbourne, Australia.

The musician had just finished his successful “Love Live Montero Tour” in North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

The tour began at The Filmore in Detroit, Michigan, and has since traveled to Atlanta, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Orlando, and many other cities.

In November, he performed at Barcelona’s Sant Jordi Club.

His next performance will be at the Hordern Pavilion on January 4, 2023, according to his official website.

According to NME, the singer will also perform on the Falls Festival sideshow stage alongside other musicians such as PinkPanthress and Magdalena Bay.

The concert would take place on January 5, 2023, at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney.
