Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes were recently spotted in California together, but they weren’t singing on stage or dressed for an exclusive performance.

The two singers canceled their respective world tours earlier this year, citing a mental health break.

The move came after Justin Bieber was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt disease, severely limiting the mobility of the other half of his face.

On the other hand, Mendes decided to cancel his tour due to exhaustion from touring and consecutive performances.

After all, the two were just taking a well-deserved mental health break.

Last night’s photos of the two heartthrobs in the same car went viral on social media. Netizens have their interpretations of the circulating photo, but there is one obvious reason.

Many people have pointed out that the two were dating, despite Bieber’s marriage to Hailey Baldwin and Mendes’ recent breakup with The Voice coach Camila Mendes.

However, according to TMZ, none of the people who took the photo were correct.

The Canadian pop stars, who have a lot in common, worshiped together in church.

The two were at the Churchome in Beverly Hills, California, though it was unclear whether Justin or Shawn sang in church as the “Love Yourself” hitmaker had done previously.

Shawn Mendes canceled his highly anticipated “Wonder” tour earlier this year.

He said in a statement:

“I know you all have been waiting so long to see these shows, and it breaks my heart to tell you this but I promise I will be back as soon as I’ve taken the right time to heal. I love you all and thank you all so much for supporting me and sticking by me on this journey.”

According to the statement, the Canadian superstar revealed that he had sought the assistance of mental health professionals and that he is currently working with them.

Furthermore, Shawn claims that the excitement he felt before embarking on the tour was “premature,” as he admits that pressure got to him and he reached a “breaking point.”
