Sam Smith had an incredible 2022, largely thanks to their collaborative song “Unholy” with Kim Petras, which became a massive hit with fans and even broke records. The musician plans to surprise fans this year by releasing a new song soon.

The British singer shared the official single artwork for their collaboration song, “Gimme,” on their official Twitter account. The musician collaborated with Koffee and Jessie Reyez on the upcoming track.

The follow-up single to “Unholy,” which made history with Kim Petras as the first openly non-binary and trans artists to dominate the Billboard Hot 100, will be available for streaming and purchase on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

Aside from the song, Reyez’s voice will be heard on another track from the album called “Perfect.”

In other news, Sam Smith will appear as a musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” alongside Lil Baby for the show’s first episode in 2023. Aubrey Plaza would host the show.

The long wait is almost over, as fans near the official release date of Sam Smith’s upcoming album, “Gloria.”

The 30-year-old singer, who identifies as non-binary and uses “they/them” pronouns, previously shared on social media that they’re excited to release the album and that the process of creating it was magical for them.

They wrote:

“I am giving you part of my heart and soul. Gloria got me through some dark times and was a beacon for me in my life.”

It appears that the singer’s upcoming record will have a fresh new sound, as they were previously known for releasing heartbreak songs.

Capitol Records stated in a press release that the new album would be about “emotional, sexual, and spiritual liberation; collaborators include Jessie Reyez, Koffee, Kim Petras, and Ed Sheeran.”

In other news, Smith will embark on a North American tour this year, beginning at the FTX Arena in Miami, Florida.
