James Blunt will go to great lengths to capture the perfect shot in a music video.
The British army officer-turned-singer is from Tidowrth, Hampshire, England, and started his music career after serving in the British army.
His dedication to the army is evident in his music and artistry, as he once risked his life while filming a music video.
Fortunately, the 49-year-old singer escaped the accident with only a cut on his lip.
According to reports, Blunt was filming the “You’re Beautiful” music video on the island when he injured himself after jumping off a cliff.
Despite how crazy this sounds, this isn’t the first time Blunt has been in a dangerous situation.
In January, he confronted an intruder in his home by arming himself and running naked after the intruder!
In an interview, he described his experience:
“I kind of tooled up, so I was running round the house with various weaponry – naked – and discovered it was a picture that had broken off a wall! But my wife was impressed.”
If music does not work out for the singer, he should consider becoming a comedian, especially since he enjoys cracking jokes and making fun of himself.
During one of Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara parties, he mentioned preferring music to the army.
“So I’d just gone out and hired a white tie and tiara. And turned up looking ridiculous. And everyone else was pop stars and they just turned up as pop stars!”
He concluded:
“So I was the only one, looking like a waiter and looking like a pratt. And so I learned the hard way, I won’t be doing that again.”
While he had a lot of success in the army during his six-year stint, his music career also took off.
He rose to prominence following the release of his debut studio album “Back to Bedlam,” owing primarily to the massive hits “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye My Lover.”
His album became one of the best-selling albums in UK chart history, selling over 20 million records worldwide.
Blunt has an estimated net worth of $18 million. She has two BRIT Awards, five Grammy Award nominations, and a Doctorate of Music from the University of Bristol.
