Taylor Swift spotted with Jack Antonoff on alleged ‘post-breakup’ date in New York

TayTay has been spotted back in New York City following rumors that Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift had broken up.

Although we couldn’t tell from the photo, she appears in good spirits because she had dinner with his good friend and close collaborator, Jack Antonoff.

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn ended their six-year relationship earlier this week, according to Entertainment Tonight.

People Magazine reported the same thing independently, but yesterday, the magazine said that according to a source, the reason for their breakup was a long time coming.

The source revealed:

“They’ve had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together,”

They also claimed that “ultimately,” the couple “wasn’t a good fit for one another.”

Aside from that, the insider said that when the pandemic struck, their “safety bubble” appeared to have burst as they were cooped up together and continued to grow their relationship.

The source elaborated:

“But he didn’t really ‘know’ her yet outside of that bubble,”

Another aspect of Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn’s breakup was that Alwyn struggled to keep up with Taylor Swift’s level of fame and public attention – as well as their differences in personalities that have become more difficult to ignore as time passes.

Despite the shocking news, neither Taylor Swift nor Joe Alwyn have commented on or clarified the incident.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift was recently spotted in New York City’s West Village, acting as Antonoff and his fiancee Margarate Qualley’s third wheel.

Taylor Swift, at least on the surface, appears to have no proof of a six-year breakup based on the photos. It is unlikely that someone who has recently ended a relationship would hang out with an engaged couple so soon after.
