Twenty-twenty-one is shaping up to be a new and fruitful year for SF9. Following the renewal of their contract earlier this year, the K-Pop group is set to make a comeback this July.

SF9 members complete shoot for a music video

The confirmation emerged after an official from FNC Entertainment spoke to Dispatch about the matter. The source revealed that the nine K-Pop idols have already completed the filming for a music video, as well as the works for the album jacket, according to Koreaboo.

The First Collection artists, reportedly, began their preparations even before their stint on Mnet’s Kingdom: Legendary War. While they have yet to unveil the exact release date, along with all the accompanying details of the album, reports noted that it will arrive this July.

The upcoming track collection will serve as their first music release since the renewal of their contract in March. Months prior, they dropped Special History Book to mark their fourth debut anniversary.

The special feature album officially made its way to the public on October 5, 2020. It houses three songs, with “Shine Together” as the lead single.

SF9 members also working on heir individual projects

Ahead of their official comeback, some of the members are, also, working on various individual projects. Lead vocalist Rowoon is currently working on his acting stint for Yeonmo, while main vocalist Inseong on his second musical Red Book.

As for sub-vocalist Dawon, he is acting for a role on tvN’s new drama, Doom At Your Service. Meanwhile, lead and sub-rapper Hwiyoung and Chani are making appearances on KBS-2 TV’s Imitation.

Apart from their solo projects, SF9 has been, also, actively participating in the Mnet reality competition show. The publication said that they are “steadily gaining popularity” these past few weeks because of their performances.

During the latest episode of Kingdom: Legendary War, the nine-member group shocked their audience with their impressive act. The second part of the competition’s Round 3 saw SF9, The Boyz, BTOB, and ATEEZ performing the recreation of their chosen tracks.

The segment became a significant moment for the nine K-Pop idols because they ended up topping the rankingsKpop Starz said they previously held the bottom spots of the list, adding that the latest episode was, indeed, a success for the group.

SF9 chose to perform Taemin of SHINee’s “MOVE.” Aside from receiving praises from the panel, as well as the audience, the K-Pop idols, also, obtained compliments from the other competing groups.

Meanwhile, reports said that more updates and information about the upcoming album will surface in the next few weeks. It is expected that teaser materials will start to emerge weeks before the official comeback.
