Ahead of his upcoming album “LEGEND,” John Legend collaborated with Saweetie on his newest single, “All She Wanna Do,” and the music video has just premiered. Here’s what to expect from the disco-themed music video.

According to reports, Christian Breslauer directed the multi-award-winning singer’s music video. The energetic music video features dancers who thought they were just auditioning for the video, only to be surprised by Legend and Saweetie.

The music video’s set and theme are appropriate for Legend’s lyrics. It begins with the singer meeting someone who enjoys dancing.

The dancers are on one side of the set and are unaware that Legend and Saweetie are on the other side of the room at the start of the video. They demonstrate their talent and skills by performing freestyle moves.

Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Legend, dressed in a gleaming pink ensemble, and Saweetie, dressed in a flowy and sheer lilac number, appear to join them. As the two dancers join them, their shocked and delighted expressions are captured on camera.

The wall dividing the set opens in other clips of the video, revealing Legend and Saweetie from the other side, and they dance along. Legend and Saweetie trade their bright outfits for something more subdued near the end of the video. The lights in the set, however, bounce off of it, giving it a glow-like effect as the rest of the dancers join the two.

They reveal near the end of the video that it was not an audition; they had been accepted, and the clips they had just filmed would be used in the music video.

Saweetie praised the dancers, telling one that her energy could be felt through the walls:

“We got a hot one over there.”

One dancer stated:

“I’ve been here for I don’t know how many hours, but the women that I’ve met are incredible, and the industry needs more stuff like this.”

The music video is now available on YouTube, where it has received over 19 thousand views. Fans shared their thoughts on the music video in the comments section.

A user commented:

“I love how real and so down-to-earth John Legend is!”

One of the dancers’ mother-in-law also commented on the video:

“John Legend is an Authentic Artist; His music has always ‘Tickled’ my Heart. I’ve listened to his music throughout my journey with cancer. Congrats to my daughter-in-law, Kingnylaa, for being part of this beautiful video and song.”

According to Billboard, Legend’s eighth studio album will be released on September 9th by Republic Records. The tracklist will feature a slew of collaborators.

Saweetie and JID who appear on “All She Wanna Do” and “Dope,” respectively, are among the collaborators. TY Dolla $ign, Jhene Aiko, Ledisi, Rapsody, Jada Kingdom, Muni Long, Jazmin Sullivan, and others have also contributed.

In a statement, Legend said:

“Until this point, I’ve never used an aspect of my name as the title of an album. […] This is me saying I’m proud of who I am, I’m confident in the work I’ve done, and I’m just going to declare it.”
