Following a massive popularity vote, veteran actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has this to say about a possible presidential bid.

Dwayne Johnson is an actor, producer, and entrepreneur. Dwayne’s acting career began in 1999 when he landed his first role in the film “Beyond the Matt.” Later in his career, he appeared in major action films such as the “Fast & Furious” film franchise, “Bay Watch,” “San Andreas,” and “Jumanji.” During his wrestling career, he was dubbed “The Great One” and regarded as one of the best professional wrestlers.

However, the public holds the 50-year-old star in high regard for much more than acting and wrestling. In a Pipslay 2021 popularity poll, 46% of 30,000 people said they would vote for Dwayne Johnson if he decided to run for President of the United States.

Following the poll’s results, the “San Andreas” star took to Twitter to express gratitude for the opportunity to serve as a potential candidate.

Until now, “The Rock” has not mentioned any political plans since last year’s Twitter statement.

Dwayne Johnson revealed in a recent interview with CBS News Sunday Morning that any potential presidential run is now “off the table,” preferring to focus on his role as a father instead.

Johnson announced political plans:

“It’s off the table. Yes, it is off the table. I will say this, ’cause it requires the B side to this: I love our country and everyone in it. And I also love being a daddy. And that’s the most important thing to me, is being a daddy, number one, especially during this time, this critical time in my daughters’ lives.”

In a recent Instagram post, the former professional wrestler also revealed that he had been approached by several influential figures who urged him to support them in politics. However, he expressed his intention to devote more time to his children.

Dwayne wrote in his Instagram post:

“Being a father to my little girls is the most important thing in my life. To raise ’em and always be there, during these critical years in their life. I know what it’s like to not be there all the time as a father, because of an unrelenting work schedule. I won’t let that happen ever again.”

Dwayne Johnson is the father of three children. He has a daughter Simone with his ex-wife Dany Garcia and two daughters with his current wife, Lauren Hashian.
