Kanye West’s Instagram and Twitter accounts have been locked and suspended recently.

After his Instagram account was restricted, West dominated news outlets once more. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the restriction was imposed after the “Jesus Is King” rapper violated the platform’s policies.

A Meta spokesperson confirmed the news, stating that the company deleted a post from @kanyewest’s Instagram account. It is still visible as of press time, but the restriction is still in place.

According to the news outlet, Meta’s restriction policy allows the company to limit the account after repeated violations temporarily. This could include blocking posts, commenting, and even sending direct messages.

It’s unclear what prompted the company to limit Kanye West’s Instagram access, but Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband shared several posts that drew criticism.

West’s conversation with Sean “Diddy” Combs was featured in one post, with the caption “Jesus is Jew.” West claimed Diddy was under the control of Jews, referring to the antisemitic conspiracy theory. As a result of the anti-Jewish sentiment, Instagram removed the content.

The rapper added fuel to the fire when he appeared on Fox News and accused Jared Kushner of profiting by brokering Israeli treaties.

The following day, the American Jewish community circulated a video of the rapper’s antisemitic remarks, accusing him of using it for greed and control.

West also shared text messages with Tremaine Emory about his comments on the late Virgil Abloh, who died a year ago. The “Gold Digger” rapper stated that he disliked Abloh’s work and was jealous of him.

West stated:

“Good to hear from you b-tch. I hated Virgil’s designs and you did to [sic]. If you loved his designs so much Why you and Luka not wearing it head to toe … Christine told me he didn’t have cancer and I believed her … People don’t tell me things.”

After his Instagram account was suspended, West took to Twitter to continue his anti-Jewish rant. The platform eventually blocked the account and the post, which displayed an automated message that read:

“This tweet violated the Twitter Rules.”

He also chastised Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg for limiting Instagram access. The tech billionaire was raised Jewish.

It wasn’t the first time he’d forgotten about his Instagram account. West’s account was suspended for 24 hours in March after he made a slur comment about Trevor Noah.
