Despite having different love interests, Gwen Stefani and her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale were spotted cheering on their son at his flag football game.

Stefani reportedly went all-in to support her son Apollo’s flag football game, showing up with a foldable lawn chair!

The singer, 53, was also seen wearing paint-splattered jeans, a long-sleeved cropped top, and a baseball cap. Behind them was the 56-year-old guitarist, dressed casually in a white top, cargo pants, and sunglasses.

Kingston, 16, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 8, are the couple’s three children. They have been co-parenting their children since their divorce.

Rossdale explained how he co-parents with his ex-wife:

“I think it’s all about just the time you spend with them.”

His hectic schedule, combined with the hectic schedules of his children, has taken a toll. He noted:

“It’s just unfortunate sometimes they have school and they have to be elsewhere […] everything is better when they’re there.”

However, the guitarist has taken precautions to ensure that the lost time is made up for by quality bonding. According to reports, he took his children to several Bush concerts last summer.

He said they’ve been learning from all of their exposure at the concerts and that their shows are “pretty physical and expressive,” giving the kids more to explore.

“[…] It’s really fun to just create that in a show and have that sensation everywhere and for them to experience that.”

He jokingly added:

“All you want is for your kids to kind of be impressed by you or get the vote of confidence. I would hate it if they thought I sucked.”

According to reports, Rossdale’s girlfriend, Courtlyn Cannan, attended the small family gathering. Stefani’s now-husband Blake Shelton, however, was not present.

Stefani and Rossdale married in 2002. According to reports, after 13 years of marriage, the “Rich Girl” singer filed for divorce after discovering that Rossdale was having an affair with their nanny.

Rossdale revealed in an interview with The Guardian that “the gross and lopsided specter of [his] marriage crumbling” to the singer was his “most embarrassing moment.”

However, with that out of the way, the two have moved on and found love elsewhere.

Rossdale had nothing but positive things to say about his previous marriage and the singer of “The Sweet Escape.”

“We had 20 years together and that in itself is pretty incredible.”

He told People Magazine:

“It’s a lifetime. I still think she’s incredible. It was a lovely 20 years and we have three amazing children. There were a lot of positives, and with time they’ll become more and more obvious.”
