Britney Spears’s Instagram account has been the subject of several controversies. The singer isn’t afraid to share her thoughts on just about anything, but her silence is a different story.

According to reports, Spears’ Instagram account mysteriously vanished over the weekend, prompting many to speculate as to why the singer decided to delete her famous account.

According to the Daily Mail UK, Spears went on an Instagram rant about her father, Jamie Spears. The singer claimed that “it felt like” he was “trying to kill [her]” during her 13-year conservatorship.

Other publications, on the other hand, speculated that it could be related to her husband, Sam Asghari.

Before Spears’ Instagram account was deleted, Asghari used the platform to interact with fans via live video.

Fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the “Baby One More Time” singer were disappointed when Spears refused to appear during the actor’s Instagram Live.

“Can I show you?” asked Asghari, to which Spears replied, “Show me what?”

“On the Live,” he said; “What are you talking about?” She returned, still confused about what was going on.

“Can I turn the camera on you?” He clarified, to which Spears replied with a negative: “I don’t need to see anything, I know!”

The banter continued with Asghari saying, “But you’re always live!” And Spears agreed, but still did not budge:

“I’m always live. I have nothing to say. I don’t want to talk to them right now.”

Asghari then said:

“This is what’s called an Instagram Live, but we’re ending it now. So have a good night.”

He then allegedly ended the Instagram Live right there and then, which seemed innocuous enough until fans noticed that Spears’ Instagram account no longer appeared in the search bar.

Spears’ life is now well documented on Instagram, with all of the highs and lows.

Metro shared a compilation of all the singer’s milestones shared on the platform, from her first birthday after leaving the conservatory to the fiasco with her kids to her successful single with Elton John.

The fate of Spears’ Instagram account is unknown as of this writing, as it is still inaccessible on the platform. Meanwhile, if fans still want to hear from the singer, they can do so through her Twitter account, which is still active.
