In the midst of her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson’s blossoming romance with Emily Ratajkowski, Kim Kardashian posted a cryptic quote about relationship “failure.”
According to Page Six, Kardashian, 42, shared an excerpt from Robin Sharma’s “Everyday Hero Manifesto” book, specifically the “40 Things I Wish I’d Known at 40” chapter, via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday.
One of the pieces of advice listed read:
“If you risk all for love and it doesn’t work out, there is no failure because all love stories are, in truth, hero tales.”
Sharma continued:
“And no growth of the heart is a waste. Ever.”
Another list item read:
“Your choice of relationship partner is one of the main sources of your success (or failure), joy (or misery) and tranquility (or worry).”
It wasn’t the first time Kardashian made a cryptic post in response to Davidson’s rumored new romance.
On November 18, the Skims founder also shared an Idil Ahmed quote via her Instagram Stories about seeing “the bigger picture” during difficult times.
The post read, according to a screenshot obtained by Page Six:
“One thing I realized is that everything always ends up working out. Sometimes even better than you can imagine.”
The quote continued:
“Remember this when you feel like you’re in a hard place or you feel like you’re being challenged the most. Believe in where you’re headed. See the bigger picture.”
Kardashian also stripped to her underwear in photos promoting her new Skims holiday collection, which she shared on Instagram on Nov. 16, the same day Davidson celebrated his 29th birthday with Ratajkowski. The timing of the post sparked speculation that she was showing off what the comedian was missing.
One social media user said on her post:
“Kim, are you jealous Pete upgraded you with Emily, his new girlfriend?”
Another wrote, along with fire and laughing emojis:
“Pete, somebody is jealous.”
Kardashian and Davidson dated for nine months before splitting up in August. They decided to split up due to the long distance and their hectic schedules, according to reports.
One tipster close to Kardashian told Page Six:
“Kim and Pete have decided to just be friends. They have a lot of love and respect for each other but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.”
