Valerie Bertinelli had a relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving just days after her divorce from ex-husband Tom Vitale was finalized.
On Instagram, the Food Network star showed off how she spent Thanksgiving. According to People, she spent it with her brother, Patrick Bertinelli, son Wolfgang Van Halen, and his fiancée, Andraia Allsop.
According to her Instagram post, she was spending the day in Milan with her family. She posted a video of a group of people eating together, joking that it was the “Italian way.”
She also shared a cute photo of Van Halen and Allsop, who are engaged. She also joined the couple for a groufie in another photo. Another photo showed his brother kissing her on the temple while she held a glass of wine.
Bertinelli celebrated her first Thanksgiving since her divorce from Vitale on Thursday. On Tuesday, they finalized their divorce.
She tweeted about how happy she was while in the airport and gave an update on her divorce.
She whispered into the phone:
“I’m at the airport. About to go see Wolfie. And my lawyer just called. The papers are all signed. They’re about to be filed. On 11/22/22 I am officially f—ing divorced.”
She added before giggling:
“I am happily divorced. God, finally, it’s finally over. Yes!”
After dating for seven years, Bertinelli, 62, and Vitale married on New Year’s Day in 2011. In May, she filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.
The financial planner requested spousal support in June, according to documents obtained by People. He also allegedly attempted to prevent her from requesting spousal support and challenged the validity of their prenuptial agreement. Bertinelli filed a 13-page request to separate her marital status from financial issues in her and Vitale’s divorce in response to her ex’s challenge to the premarital agreement.
Bertinelli was ordered to pay her now ex-husband $2.2 million “in full, final, and complete settlement and satisfaction of any and all claims between them,” with neither receiving spousal support as “set forth in the Prenuptial Agreement.”
She has been candid about their turbulent relationship since their split, admitting that she had “trust issues.” She stated on “Today” that she could never “trust anyone again to let into my life.”
