Johnny Depp has been photographed dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow from “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

He has, however, stated that he would never return to the franchise.

Following the conclusion of the defamation trial story involving Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in June, there was speculation about what might come next for both of them, but especially for Depp.

Will he resume his film career and return to the series after nearly a million people signed a petition urging him to do so? Or would he focus on his music?

According to a spokesman for the actor, speculation about Depp reprising his role as Jack Sparrow began a few months ago.

During the high-profile trial, under oath, he was asked:

“If Disney came to you with $300 million dollars and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film?”

Depp then replied:

“That is true.”

But why was Johnny Depp spotted impersonating his role?

According to the Daily Mail, it was part of the 59-year-old actor’s surprise to a fan when he met with them.

Depp adopted Jack’s impaired speech patterns and began babbling about rum while talking to his delighted admirer in the iconic TikTok video.

The positive conversation quickly spread on social media, with followers praising Depp for his transformation.

Fans were surprised by his clean-shaven appearance and dismissed the video as not being of him.

When Depp started talking about his dead-on impersonation of Jack Sparrow, it was clear he was himself.

Previously, the “Edward Scissorhands” star was seen impersonating the pirate’s famous voice and mannerisms for fans and donning the iconic outfit to surprise children in hospitals.

Depp once surprised Disneyland visitors by appearing among the waxwork characters on the “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride.

This comes on the heels of reports that Johnny Depp is eager to return to the franchise after being fired in 2018.
