After making her big comeback earlier this year with the song “Freaky Girl,” Nicki Minaj set the charts on fire and sent fans into a frenzy, but many fans still wait for her highly-anticipated fifth studio album; when is it coming out?
The rap queen recently spoke with City Girls’ JT for i-D to tease barbz about her “Queen” follow-up album years later.
When asked what fans can expect from her projects soon, Minaj confirmed that her fifth album, which has been in the works for nearly five years, “will be out soon.”
However, the “Come See About Me” hitmaker refuses to give an official release date.
She said:
“I’m not gonna say when it’s gonna come out, but the album will be out soon.”
“Queen,” Nicki Minaj’s most recent album, was released in 2018. It included hit songs such as “Chun-Li,” “Majesty,” “Bed” with Ariana Grande, and many more.
Despite not disclosing details about her upcoming fifth studio album, Nicki Minaj teased fans about the projects she would be working on.
The mother of one teased about venturing into retail as she works on a nail art company, saying the public will now be able to purchase her press-on nails with “dope designs.”
Furthermore, it appears that Minaj will return to the big screen, as she plans to return to the television and film industries.
She informed the host that she had talked with a director about a possible film appearance. She is still undecided about television.
The “Right By My Side” rapper said she would never give up acting for a long time because it is one of her greatest passions.
Nicki Minaj previously appeared in “The Other Woman” with Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton, and Leslie Mann. She also voiced characters in “Ice Age: Continental Drift” and “The Angry Birds Movie 2.”
Throughout the interview, the “Night Is Still Young” hitmaker revealed her feelings about being misunderstood in the music industry since her meteoric rise more than a decade ago.
Minaj claims that because the rapper is outspoken, there is a widespread misconception about them being “so strong.”
She added:
“Just because a person fights back, doesn’t mean they’re not afraid. I have suppressed years’ worth of things that I’ve wanted to say.”
