Post Malone may not be as loud as the rest of the Billboard Hot 100 right now, but he recently set a record many would like to break anytime soon!
Posty became the first artist in history to have eight Diamond-selling singles after the Recording Industry Association of America certified three of his tracks as Diamond.
Post Malone’s three singles – “Circles,” “I Fall Apart,” and “Better Now” – have all been certified as Diamond by the Universal Music Group.
According to the RIAA, diamond-certified singles are singles or songs that have sold 10 million units in the United States.
The following are the eight RIAA Diamond-certified tracks:
- White Iverson
- Congratulations (feat. Quavo)
- I Fall Apart
- Rockstar (feat. 21 Savage)
- Psycho (feat. Ty Dolla $ign)
- Better Now
- Sunflower (with Swae Lee)
- Circles
“Sunflower” with Swae Lee is the highest certified single of all time, with 17x Platinum and 17 million units sold. The data shows it is tied with Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road.”
According to Billboard, Elton John was the first artist to receive the Diamond certification for his 1997 hit “Something About The Way You Look Tonight / Candle In The Wind.” Meanwhile, Halsey’s “Without Me” became the 100th track to achieve Diamond status in February 2023.
Post Malone and Republic Records celebrated the historic achievement by releasing a compilation album that included all of his eight Diamond-certified singles and his new song “Chemicals.”
Post Malone’s net worth is estimated to be $50 million by CA Knowledge. It is due to his enormous musical success.
Two of his four studio albums are in the top five on Billboard 200. “Beerbongs & Bentleys” and “Hollywood’s Bleeding” debuted at No. 1, “Twelve Carat Toothache” debuted at No. 2, and “Stoney” debuted at No. 4.
His first two albums were certified 5x Platinum, “Hollywood” is certified 4x Platinum, and “Twelve Carat” is still uncertified.
Aside from the albums above and singles, Malone’s discography is currently brimming with Platinum-certified tracks, both as a lead artist and featured artist.
